So the reason a few of the cable channels we get are glitched, and also why the internet cuts out from time to time, is that the drop from the pole has become inundated with water. Tomorrow, the tech is coming out to wire a replacement drop, so in preparation for this visit, I'll be removing the vegetation from the path of the drop.

I've never done this before, but I did look up a few tips on how to do so. Should be interesting. I've also got a few other things on my plate. On Monday, 4 rooms in the house will be carpeted, which requires the movement of a great deal of crap. Most inconvenient is the entertainment center, which is always a Gordian knot of RCA, S-Video, co-ax, power, and Ethernet connections. And since the tech is coming tomorrow between 12-4, I can't start that take down until ... Sunday? Can't have the entertainment in disarray when the extra family minors come over... then all hell would break loose. Maybe I'll move it all to one of the rooms that isn't being carpeted. Lastly, I need to finish the Visio prints for the house, with the current location of all the unsafe 2 prong outlets, and the planned location of the replacement grounded outlets, with the inclusion of GFCI receptacles for the areas which, you know, have water and stuff.

The latter came as news to the landlord, who also happens to be my father-in-law.
